If I were an American citizen, I would be voting the McCain-Palin ticket. Obama's promise to redistribute the wealth resonates with liberals because they believe that corporate profits are created for one purpose; to make everyone "equal".

Milton Friedman once said: "Nations that put equality before freedom, end up with neither equality nor freedom." Nations that take excessively from the those who create wealth and give it to those who merely consume it, quickly decay - both economically and socially.

About 66% of Canadians prefer Obama because he fits our collective idea of The Great Distributor.

The rest of us understand that Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan had it right.

Religion is worth trillions of dollars... does this mean that Obama could take religion's assets into public ownership as part of this 'redistribution of wealth?' Or am I right off track here??

Presumably the Gramscian march through the cultural institutions has left the younger generations history free and thus doomed to repeat it. STILL . . . You my sister and my gut tell me McCain and Palin will win in a landslide. God willing. :-)
