Solomonia has inaguarated MAS Watch, MAS being Muslim American Society. He's noted some of the more "colorful" notices that the MAS has sent out, including the fatwa issued by Omar Bakri Muhammad that says no Muslims can join forces with British or U.S. forces. Today's e-mail from MAS sent an interview with George "Kitty Cat" Galloway, with this note:
"George Galloway has spoken out in support of Lebanon, saying he believes Hizbollah is justified in attacking Israel. The Respect MP also lambasted media coverage of the war and said the UN resolution means nothing.
Awesome interview: No wonder why it's not casted on major anchors.I wish we all ( " Leaders" or not )be on point like this man."
He's on point, allright. They don't come any more fascist/stupid/dhimmi than Galloway.
The MAS website has an "Ask the Imam" section too, here's a recent Q&A on women leaving their house:
Question: As salaam alaikum. I am an American born revert woman. I would like to know if it is true that a woman has to have her husband's permission to go outside the home. I love my husband and he is good to me. When I ask, he almost always says yes, but I find it humiliating and oppressive to have to ask, so most of the time I stay home rather than ask. This is depressing to me and I fear I can not live like this longterm. .....What should I do?
Answer: Marriage never means ownership of a wife, nor is it full dominance over a wife either. Marriage means that the two spouses joined each other for improving their life under Islamic affect and guidance. Husbands have the right of leadership of the family, which includes the power and authority for managing every member of the family for the interest of the household and family welfare. Of course, a woman cannot leave the household without having her husband's approval. .....Allah (swt) describes a good woman by being obediant. I do not see any good logic for saying "I should be free" whereas you would accept "dos" and don'ts" by a boss when we are employees.
How about this question from a lovelorn man:
Question: I love a lady related to me and she loves me too. I want to marry her but my parent doesn’t approve this marriage because this lady I wont to marry is divorced and she two years older than me. My parents willing to approve this marriage in one condition. The conditions is, marrying a virgin lady first then marry the lady I love. For me I can do that. Is that true? I know that we can marry four.
Remember, this is the Muslim American Society. So why is an American man saying he can marry up to four women? Since when exactly does the U.S. allow polygamy?
Anyway, good job, Sol! Shine some more light on the MAS.
