What passes for education these days sounds an awful lot like Communist "re-education camps." A few examples:
- "A group of San Francisco first-graders took an unusual field trip to City Hall on Friday to toss rose petals on their just-married lesbian teacher - putting the public school children at the center of a fierce election battle over the fate of same-sex marriage."
- Dear Leader Obama gets fifteen pages in an 8th grade English literature textbook, excusez moi?!?! Hat tip to Gateway Pundit. Majorly creepy.
- Talentless, angry grade school art teacher creates sculpture of George Bush made out of bull excrement. Prints using the F word, sculptures made out of dung, how transgressive!
I too am utterly dismayed at the state of public education. Both the texts, teaching methods, AND the teachers.
I so so hope I can find a way to send my son to a private day school when the time comes.
Shudder. Otherwise, I'll spend the non-work part of my day undoing the brainwashing of the majority of my son's day.
