Support U.S. Immigration Enforcement/ Sign the Petition
UPDATE, moving the petition request up, see links to my postings on the two Boston imams case below.
Please sign a petition to support the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement folks. As Miss Kelly readers know, two Boston area men were among the 33 people arrested throughout the U.S. as part of an investigation into a specific religious visa fraud scheme. In Boston, there has been strong criticism by the Muslim American Society and the ACLU against the arrest of the two men.
We don't know if anyone is guilty, that will become known as the case unfolds and goes to trial. However, I strongly favor enforcement of our immigration laws. When the authorities take enforcement action, there are many groups who try to obstruct them. I think it's appropriate for U.S. citizens to step forward and support the federal authorities that are operating on our behalf and trying to protect us.
I'm generally not a big fan of petitions, but this one I feel strongly about. Our federal immigration enforcement folks deserve our support, not ridicule and criticism. Here's one easy way to back them up. If you agree, please sign the petition and pass this on to your friends and associates. Thank you!
Text of petition:
To: Immigration officials involved in the case of Imams Hafiz Masood and Abdul Hannan, and other interested public officials
We, the undersigned, would like to thank you for your efforts in enforcing our nation's immigration laws. We would like to assure you of our continuing support in the face of what must be extreme pressure to drop this matter.
We encourage you to continue to pursue this matter in a fair manner consistent with the vigorous application of the rule of law and without regard to pressure group tactics which will attempt to stifle your efforts.
Solomonia is on the case too.
